Platform: The digital platform operated by Taboo Studios LLC, accessible via www.taboo.tv, through which content creators (“Creators”) publish and monetize content, and users (“Fans”) access and support such content via subscriptions.

User: Any individual who accesses or uses the Platform, whether as a Fan, Creator, or Affiliate.

Affiliate: A third party or user that promotes the Platform or individual Creator content in exchange for commissions, under Taboo’s Affiliate Program. Affiliates may also act as clippers, meaning they create and share edited clips derived from proprietary Taboo content as part of their promotional activities, subject to Taboo’s Content Guidelines and monetization terms.

Personal Data: Any information that identifies or relates to an identifiable individual.

Processing: Any operation performed on personal data, including collection, storage, use, disclosure, or deletion.

We process your data for the following legitimate business purposes:

• To provide, operate, and maintain the Platform.
• To process transactions and manage billing.
• To enable Fan-Creator and Affiliate interactions.
• To provide optional location-based community features, including displaying your approximate geographic area to other users in order to enhance discovery, engagement, and real-time interaction, while preserving your privacy through location obfuscation techniques.
• To detect, prevent, and investigate fraud or abuse.
• To send account-related communications and updates.
• To personalize content and offer recommendations.

Certain Platform features may allow Users to voluntarily share their approximate geographic area while actively using the Platform, including through interactive maps, community discovery tools, or similar social features.

Taboo is committed to protecting User privacy. Accordingly, the Platform does not display or disclose a User’s precise geographic location to other users. Instead, any visible location is intentionally generalized using privacy-preserving techniques, including randomized positioning, geographic obfuscation, approximate radius calculations, or similar technical measures designed to prevent identification of a User’s exact whereabouts.

Participation in these features is entirely optional. Where available, Users may enable or disable approximate location sharing through their Account settings or by choosing whether to grant location permissions on their device.

Approximate location information is processed solely for the purpose of operating these community features, improving user experience, facilitating real-time interaction among Users, and maintaining Platform security. Taboo does not use this feature to disclose precise location information to other Users.

We retain your personal data:

• If your account is active.
• As required by legal, contractual, or compliance obligations.
• For up to five (5) years after account termination, subject to applicable law.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access and request a copy of your data.
• Request correction or deletion of your data.

Changes to the Privacy Policy. Taboo may change the Platform’s Privacy Policy from time to time. If Taboo makes changes to the way it uses personal information, it will notify Users, Affiliates and Creators by posting a notice on the Platform or by sending an e-mail. In this case, the Affiliate, User or Creator becomes responsible for reading such notices regarding the changes, which will take effect from the date of publication of the updated Privacy Policy.

Tacit Acceptance. The Affiliate’s, User’s or Creator’s continued use of the services after the effective date of any change made and previously notified constitutes acceptance of the amended Privacy Policy. For this reason, Taboo encourages you to review this Privacy Policy whenever they use the services.

Sending Communications. By registering, the Affiliate, Creator or User agrees to Taboo sending notifications and communications, news about the services and important information that requires their attention to their registered e-mail address.

Advertising messages. If you have consented to the use of your personal data to send advertising messages, news and new Platform features, Affiliates, Creators or Users may receive advertising messages from Taboo.

Opt-out. When you receive an e-mail on behalf of the Platform, you will be able to opt out of receiving them by using the opt-out option or by requesting an e-mail.

Anti-spam policy. The platform takes the necessary precautions to avoid sending unsolicited e-mails.

Storage. The personal data in your account and all the information on the Platform is stored and transmitted securely, and only employees authorized by Taboo may have access to your personal data, being obliged to comply with the duties of confidentiality, professional secrecy and strict respect for privacy and data protection, under the terms of this Policy and the applicable regulations.

Information Security. All Taboo’s transactions are encrypted, subject to data backup, monitoring tools, security policies, access controls for employees, as well as up-to-date security software.
